Three performance domains

The current outline assigns 70% to Property and Building Inspection/Site Review, 20% to Analysis of Findings and Reporting, and 10% to Professional Responsibilities.

Pretest questions

Twenty-five questions are being evaluated for possible future use and do not count toward the score. Candidates are not told which items are pretest questions, so every question should be treated as scored.

Scaled scoring

The passing point is 500 on a 200–800 scale. It is not a simple percentage, and candidates do not compete against one another.

Retake wait

EBPHI states that candidates normally wait 30 days between attempts unless a law or regulation requires a different period.
