Service and equipment
Identify service type, approximate amperage, grounding and bonding, panel condition, and accessible disconnects.
Branch circuits and devices
Look for overfusing, double taps, open splices, damaged conductors, reverse polarity, open grounds, and failed GFCI/AFCI protection.
Inspection safety
Do not remove unsafe covers, touch energized components, or exceed the inspection's visual and normal-control scope.
